Lateral Tilting Bed
A Revolution in the Prevention of Pressure Sores
- Princess 5000 Lateral Tilting Bed - Pressure Sore Therapy System.
- Unique programmable lateral tilt system ensures that pressure points are changed frequently enough to prevent the appearance of pressure sores.
- Available in both 90cm (3'0) and 105cm (3'6") widths.
- Quiet operation and slow, gentle movement, ( 8 degree tilt facility ) ensures the patient is not disturbed or woken and therefore will need fewer pain killers and sleeping drugs.
- 30 Degree tilt function available for nursing staff and carers to allow for treatment, massage or cleaning functions and will decrease the likelihood of lifting injuries.
- High/Low and Trendelenburg/Reverse Trendelenburg functions are standard.
- Latest pressure relieving memory foam mattress with fully waterproof, breathable cover, welded seams and protected zip.
- A Battery Back Up system is included as standard. This allows for the automatic operation of the lateral tilt function to continue and for emergency lowering of the bed, in the event of a mains power failure.

Three unique lateral tilt functions
- Eight degree alternating tilt that slowly turns the patient and thus relieves pressure points. Manual controlled tilt can be initiated by the patient when he or she so desires.
- Automatic eight degree alternating tilt set by nursing staff. Tilting can be set for intervals of 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Tilting is performed regularly and gradually, without disturbing sleep.
- Electrically operated thirty degree tilt is designed as an aid to prevent strain injuries to nursing staff. It is for use when turning patients over, changing bed linen and in the care of totally incapacitated patients.
Additional functions
- Multizone Reflexion Mattress suitable for 24 hour use.
- The whole bed can be raised and lowered.
- The head can be raised to form backrest in synchronisation with the knee section.
